Item Detail
01
M365 Change · GA: June 2026
Copilot Chat History Now Scoped by Endpoint
Microsoft is changing how chat history appears in Copilot Chat. Users will see history filtered to their current Copilot Chat endpoint by default, with the option to switch to an 'All chats' view. This rolls out to general availability in June 2026.
If your team uses multiple Copilot endpoints, the new scoped view reduces noise — but users will need to know the 'All chats' option exists to find older cross-endpoint conversations.
02
M365 Change · GA: July 2026
Teams AI Interpreter Gets Three Simultaneous Mode Fixes
Microsoft is adding three improvements to the AI Interpreter simultaneous translation mode in Teams. Caption and audio will now match the same selected language. Admins can fully disable voice simulation. Users will get more voice options with dynamic speaker assignment. GA date is July 2026.
The admin disable option for voice simulation addresses a concern raised in multilingual enterprise settings where synthetic voices created confusion about speaker identity.
03
M365 Change · GA: July 2026
Teams Facilitator Will Answer Unanswered Meeting Questions
The Facilitator agent in Teams will soon detect when a question is raised during a meeting and goes unanswered. It will offer to search the web for an answer and post the result to meeting chat if a participant confirms. Heading to GA in July 2026.
This shifts Facilitator from passive note-taker to active meeting participant. Worth testing how the agent interprets rhetorical questions versus genuine information requests.
04
M365 Change · GA: May 2026 (Now)
Mind Maps Land in Copilot Notebooks This Month
Copilot Notebooks now include interactive mind maps that visualise key topics, themes, and relationships from notebook content. Users can click nodes to see summaries and ask follow-up questions via Notebook chat. Available in OneNote and the Microsoft 365 Copilot app.
Mind maps give a spatial overview of long or complex notebooks without linear reading — useful for research, project planning, and meeting preparation where notebooks may span weeks of notes.
05
M365 Change · GA: June 2026 (Delayed)
Project Manager Agent GA Delayed to June After Preview Issues
Microsoft's Project Manager agent for M365 Copilot was in preview and expected to reach GA in May. Microsoft updated the roadmap on 21 May to confirm GA is now expected in June 2026. No reason was given beyond an apology for the change.
If your team built adoption plans around the May GA date, check the roadmap again in early June. Preview users can continue using the agent in the interim.
Quick Reference — All Five Changes
01 Copilot Chat History Scoped by Endpoint

History is filtered to current endpoint by default. 'All chats' view remains available. GA June 2026.

Scoped view reduces noise but may hide cross-endpoint context users depend on.

Does your team use one Copilot Chat endpoint or several?

02 Teams AI Interpreter Simultaneous Mode Enhancements

Audio and captions now match selected language. Admin can disable voice simulation. More voice options with dynamic speaker assignment. GA July 2026.

Admin disable option directly addresses multilingual enterprise complaints about synthetic voices.

Will you keep voice simulation on or off for clearer attribution?

03 Teams Facilitator Question Detection

Detects unanswered questions in meetings. Offers web search answer via chat confirmation. GA July 2026.

Shifts Facilitator from passive recorder to active participant — test with rhetorical question edge cases.

How will participants know when Facilitator is about to respond on their behalf?

04 Mind Maps in Copilot Notebooks

Interactive visual maps of notebook topics and relationships. Available in OneNote and M365 Copilot app. GA May 2026.

Useful for long research notebooks where linear reading is impractical.

Can users reshape or annotate the generated map?

05 Project Manager Agent GA Delayed

Was expected GA in May. Now June 2026. Preview users unaffected. Roadmap updated 21 May 2026.

Revise internal communications if you announced a May launch date.

What should admins do if they have already communicated the May launch internally?

Lesson 1 of 4
Overview

Three AI developments worth attention

These items come from verified news sources in the past 48 hours. They are selected for relevance to Microsoft 365 professionals and enterprise productivity.

06
AI & Productivity · Launched May 2026
Microsoft Launches E7 Frontier Suite and Agent 365 Tier
Microsoft introduced two new products in early May 2026. The M365 E7 Frontier Suite, at $99 per user per month, targets enterprises deploying autonomous AI agents at scale with added security and governance. Agent 365, at $15 per user per month, acts as a control plane for agents built on Microsoft AI platforms.
The separate Agent 365 tier suggests Microsoft expects agent governance to be a distinct cost line in enterprise budgets, not bundled into existing licences.
07
AI & Productivity · Beta 22 May 2026
Salesforce Agentforce Coworker Enters Beta
Salesforce released a beta of Agentforce Coworker on 22 May 2026. The feature embeds an AI teammate into searchable interfaces so agents can retrieve CRM context and take actions on behalf of Agentforce customers. It is positioned as a persistent AI participant in sales and service workflows.
Agentforce Coworker signals that CRM vendors are moving toward AI that lives inside the workflow rather than being invoked by prompt. Compare this to Microsoft Copilot in Teams.
08
AI & Productivity · Report May 2026
Enterprise AI Moves from Pilots to Production Deployment
The 2026 Deloitte State of AI in the Enterprise report finds 64% of organisations are now actively using AI in operations, with agentic workflows moving into full deployment across code development, legal, finance, and administrative functions. Gartner projects 40% of enterprise applications will include task-specific AI agents by end of 2026, up from under 5% in 2025.
The gap between organisations with deployed agents and those still in pilot is widening fast. The report notes most companies still treat agents as assistants rather than workers with permissions and access to data.
Three Lenses on Each Story
06
E7 Frontier Suite & Agent 365
Two new Microsoft SKUs for enterprise AI deployment. E7 Frontier ($99/user/month) provides governance and security for autonomous agents at scale. Agent 365 ($15/user/month) is a standalone control plane for Microsoft-built agents.
07
Salesforce Agentforce Coworker
A persistent AI participant in Salesforce workflows that can read CRM context and take actions. Currently in beta. Different from a one-off query tool — it is designed to stay in the loop throughout a sales or service process.
08
Enterprise AI Deployment Rate
64% of enterprises are in active AI deployment (Deloitte). Gartner forecasts 40% of enterprise apps will include task-specific agents by end of 2026 — up from under 5% in 2025. Agents are touching code, legal, finance, and admin functions.
06
Why the separate SKU matters
Microsoft pricing agent governance separately signals it expects this to be a recurring, growing cost category. Organisations evaluating agent deployments should calculate the true total cost of ownership including Agent 365 on top of existing licences.
07
Why persistent agents are a different risk category
An agent with standing access to CRM data and the ability to take actions is not comparable to a chat assistant. The approval and audit layer between agent decision and customer-facing action matters more here than in any prompt-based tool.
08
Why the 40% Gartner figure is a planning number
If Gartner is right, most enterprise applications will include task-specific agents by January 2027. That is 7 months away. Organisations without an agent governance policy are behind the timeline, not ahead of it.
06
Cost model exercise
Map your current M365 licence tier against the new E7 Frontier and Agent 365 pricing. Calculate the break-even point at which the governance overhead of Agent 365 is justified by the number of agents you plan to deploy.
07
Policy question to answer this week
Before your next AI agent review, write one sentence that answers: what actions is an AI agent permitted to take in your systems without a human in the loop? That single sentence is the start of a governance policy.
08
Benchmark your organisation
Find out where your organisation sits relative to the 64% deployment figure. Identify one agentic workflow you could run in production by end of Q2 2026 — and what is preventing it from starting now.

Lesson 2 of 4
Editorial — Item 09

Across this edition, a single pattern is visible: Microsoft, Salesforce, and the analyst community are all treating AI agents not as a feature but as a separate governance and cost layer. Microsoft charges for Agent 365 as a standalone SKU. Salesforce ships a persistent CRM coworker. Deloitte finds 64% of enterprises are in production. Meanwhile, Teams Facilitator is already answering questions on your behalf in meetings.

The infrastructure for agents is being built at the platform level — which means the question for most organisations is no longer whether to adopt but how to govern what is already being deployed.

So What?
This week, check whether your organisation has a clear policy on what AI agents are permitted to do, what they must ask a human before doing, and who reviews their actions after the fact.
Three Steps This Week
01
Notice · What pattern do you see?
Look at the eight items in this brief as a group. Count how many involve AI taking an action rather than providing information. That ratio is the pattern worth noticing.
02
Experiment · One thing to try this week
Find one AI feature already deployed in your organisation that can take an action on your behalf — send a message, create a task, book time. Check whether there is any approval step before it acts.
03
Adapt · What would you change in how you work?
Write one sentence describing what your organisation's AI agent governance policy currently is. If you cannot write that sentence, that is the gap worth closing before the next wave of agent features arrives.

This is the editorial view. Check the sources and form your own. The pattern reading is Craig Stanley's interpretation — the underlying data is cited in full in 260523-83C1-sources.json.
