What it is
A redesigned Gallery view for meeting rooms running Teams Rooms on Android. It changes how the video wall looks on the room's screen, not on your own laptop.
What it does
Video is prioritised on the main stage, every tile keeps a consistent shape, and tiles reshuffle less as people speak. The room can hide its own self-preview, and admins can choose whether audio-only participants get equal billing with video ones, either from local device settings or the Pro Management portal.
Why I should care
If you run hybrid meetings from a room with Teams-certified hardware, this fixes the mildly distracting habit of the video wall rearranging itself constantly. It won't change how you personally join a call, but it changes what the room looks like to everyone on the far end.
What action I need to take
Nothing to configure yourself. If your organisation manages meeting room devices, ask whoever owns that estate whether the Pro Management portal default suits your rooms, or whether audio/video parity is worth switching on for rooms that take a lot of dial-in-only callers.
