Every channel worth watching.
Forty-six sources, nine categories, every URL checked on 20 August 2026. Official unless marked otherwise. If a source is not here it is either duplicated by one that is, or it is not worth your Tuesday.
Roadmap and release
What is coming, what shipped, and when. The highest-noise category and the one most people read wrong.
Microsoft 365 Roadmap
Every planned, rolling-out and launched feature across Microsoft 365, with a roadmap ID.
Filter to your products and to Rolling out. In development is an intention, not a date.
Message center (admin centre)
Tenant-specific change notices, with the action you have to take. Sign-in required for the live feed.
The only channel that tells you what applies to your tenant. Turn the weekly digest on.
Microsoft 365 Apps release notes
Build-by-build fixes and features for the desktop apps, per update channel.
Check the channel your estate is on before you promise anyone a feature.
Windows release health
Known issues, safeguard holds and servicing dates for every supported Windows build.
Known issues first, then the lifecycle table. It is the fastest way to explain a stuck rollout.
Azure updates
Preview, GA and retirement notices for every Azure service.
Filter to retirements. Those carry dates you cannot argue with.
Power Platform release plans
Twice-yearly wave documents for Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio and Power Pages.
Read the wave overview, not the whole plan. The dates move; the direction rarely does.
Microsoft 365 Copilot release notes
What actually shipped in Copilot, by feature, with the roadmap ID.
A roadmap item with no release note and no docs page is not shippable advice yet.
Documentation
The source of record. If a claim cannot be traced back here or to licensing terms, it does not run.
Microsoft Learn
All product documentation, training paths, and reference. The spine of everything else.
Check the date at the top of the page. Learn pages are revised silently and often.
Microsoft 365 Copilot documentation
Setup, requirements, data handling and admin controls for Copilot across Microsoft 365.
The requirements page settles most licensing arguments in one screen.
Microsoft Copilot Studio documentation
Building, publishing and governing custom agents.
Read the licensing and quotas pages before the build pages.
Microsoft Adoption
Microsoft's own change-management kits, scenario libraries and end-user material.
Free assets you can rebrand. Underused by almost everyone running a rollout.
Cloud Adoption Framework
Microsoft's structured method for planning, governing and operating cloud estates.
Take the governance and management sections. Skip the strategy chapters unless you are writing a board paper.
Azure Architecture Center
Reference architectures, design patterns and the Well-Architected Framework.
The AI architecture patterns are the current fast-moving part.
Licensing and commercial terms
The category people get wrong most expensively. Never take a licensing answer from a blog, including this one, without the terms behind it.
Microsoft Product Terms
The contractual definition of what each licence permits. Updated monthly.
This beats every other source, including Microsoft's own marketing pages. Cite the clause.
Licensing documents and guides
Programme guides, licensing briefs and the Product Terms archive.
Where you find last year's terms when someone asks what they signed.
Microsoft 365 service descriptions
Feature-by-plan tables for every Microsoft 365 and Office 365 service.
The closest official thing to a licensing matrix. Slower to update than the products themselves.
Microsoft 365 Copilot requirements
Prerequisite licences, tenant conditions and supported plans for Copilot.
Read this before quoting anyone a Copilot number.
Microsoft 365 plans and pricing
List prices for business plans, per region.
List price only. Anything an organisation actually pays sits under an agreement you cannot see.
Azure pricing calculator
Per-service cost modelling, including AI and Foundry workloads.
Save and share the estimate URL. It is the only way to make a cost conversation reproducible.
Directions on Microsoft
Independent licensing and roadmap analysis. Paid subscription.
Worth it when the Product Terms are ambiguous and the answer is worth thousands. Read it; do not cite it in place of the terms.
Blogs
Announcement first, detail later. Treat a blog post as a pointer to documentation, not as documentation.
Microsoft 365 Blog
Product announcements and monthly what's-new round-ups for Microsoft 365.
The monthly round-up post is the single best catch-up read if you only have ten minutes.
Microsoft Tech Community
Product-group blogs and forums, organised by product. Deeper than the marketing blogs.
Subscribe per blog, never to the whole community. The firehose is unreadable.
Microsoft Security Blog
Threat intelligence, Defender, Entra and Purview announcements.
Threat intelligence reports are the strongest content Microsoft publishes anywhere.
Azure Blog
Azure and AI platform announcements, including Foundry.
Cross-check every capability claim against the service documentation before repeating it.
The Official Microsoft Blog
Corporate and policy announcements, including AI policy positions.
Read for direction of travel, not for product detail.
Practical 365
Working analysis of Microsoft 365 changes for administrators.
Good at saying what a change means operationally. Added for editorial standards and consistency.
Vasil Michev
Administrative and PowerShell depth on Exchange, Entra and Graph.
Covers the things the documentation leaves out. Added for technical accuracy.
Entra.News
Weekly digest of Microsoft Entra changes, compiled by Merill Fernando.
Often ahead of the message centre on identity changes. Added because Entra moves faster than its own documentation.
Nikki Chapple
Purview, compliance and data governance explained for practitioners.
Added because compliance documentation is dense and this makes it usable.
Community and questions
Where you go when the documentation is wrong, missing, or has not caught up with the product.
Microsoft Q&A
Moderated technical questions and answers, with Microsoft engineers participating.
Subscribe to two or three tags. Answers marked accepted are not always right; check the date.
Microsoft 365 feedback portal
Feature requests and their status, with product-group responses.
The status field tells you what a product team has actually committed to.
Office 365 for IT Pros
The continuously updated reference book on Microsoft 365, plus a companion blog.
The deepest single reference outside Microsoft. Added for completeness and update discipline.
Service health and admin
What is broken now, and whether it is you or Microsoft.
Microsoft 365 service health
Tenant-specific incident and advisory feed. Sign-in required for the live view.
Configure the email alerts once. It is the difference between knowing and guessing.
Azure status
Global and per-region Azure service availability.
The history page is more useful than the live page when you are writing a post-incident note.
Microsoft 365 status on X
Public incident commentary from the Microsoft 365 service team.
Faster than the admin centre during a large incident. Not a substitute for it.
Trust, privacy and compliance
The evidence pack. When a client asks where their data goes, the answer comes from here or it is not an answer.
Microsoft Trust Center
Security, privacy and compliance commitments across the cloud services.
The starting point for a due-diligence questionnaire.
Service Trust Portal
Audit reports, certifications and data-protection documentation. Sign-in required for most reports.
This is where the actual ISO and SOC reports live. Most people never find it.
Microsoft Purview documentation
Data governance, sensitivity labels, retention and insider risk.
Read the labelling and DLP sections before any Copilot deployment, not after.
Responsible AI at Microsoft
Principles, transparency notes and the responsible AI standard.
The transparency notes for individual products are the useful part, not the principles page.
Microsoft Privacy
Privacy statement, data subject requests and regional data commitments.
Cite the privacy statement clause, not a summary of it.
Video and events
Cheapest way to understand a product's direction. Most of it is thirty minutes you do not need.
Microsoft Mechanics
Short technical explainers made with the product groups.
The best official video Microsoft makes. Watch at 1.5x.
Microsoft Learn Shows
Recorded technical series and Learn Live sessions, searchable by product.
Search the show catalogue rather than browsing it.
Microsoft Ignite
The annual IT-professional conference. Session recordings and the Book of News.
The Book of News is the whole conference in one document. Read that, skip the keynote.
Microsoft Build
The annual developer conference. Where platform and AI direction is set.
Same rule as Ignite. Book of News first.
Microsoft 365 on YouTube
End-user and adoption video, suitable for reuse in training.
Usable in change comms without asking anyone's permission.
Licensing maps
One entry, one independent, and the reason the trusted-independents rule exists at all.
M365 Maps
Visual comparison matrices of every Microsoft 365 plan and its component services.
Faster than the service descriptions for a first answer. Confirm anything that matters against the Product Terms. Added because Microsoft publishes nothing equivalent.
How this list is kept
Every URL in the catalogue was requested and returned a 200 on 20 August 2026. Links rot, and Microsoft renames things more than most. Three entries in the first build pointed at pages that had moved and were corrected before publication rather than quietly dropped: the Copilot what's-new page (now release notes), Vasil Michev's blog root, and the Office 365 for IT Pros domain.
The catalogue is re-checked monthly. Corrections are shown, not hidden.
