How accessible this site is, what we know needs improving, and how to report a problem. This statement covers craigstanley.work and applies from 25 May 2026.
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. It is partially conformant — meaning some content does not fully meet that standard. This is a hand-coded static site maintained by one person; the known gaps are listed below and we are working through them.
WCAG 2.1 is produced by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It defines how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
<header>, <nav>, <main>, <section>, <footer>, etc.alt attributes. Decorative images are marked aria-hidden="true".lang="en") on every page.Assistive technology tested

Note: This site has not been tested with NVDA, JAWS, or mobile screen readers (TalkBack / VoiceOver on iOS). If you encounter issues with these tools, please report them using the contact form below.
The following issues are known. We are working to address them in order of impact.
Skip-to-content link not yet implemented
Keyboard users must tab through the full navigation on every page. A skip-to-content link is a known missing feature and will be added in a future update.
Heading hierarchy gaps on some older pages
Some pages created before the current design system was applied may have gaps in heading levels (e.g. jumping from H1 to H3). These are being corrected as pages are updated.
YouTube embeds on video.html
Videos are embedded via <iframe>. Keyboard access and screen reader support within the embed depends on YouTube's own accessibility implementation, which is outside our control. YouTube's accessibility information: support.google.com/youtube.
PDF zines and downloadable files
PDF zines and other downloadable documents are not fully accessible. They have not been tagged for screen reader use and may not be navigable by keyboard. We are aware of this and it is a significant gap for this type of content.
Some inline SVG icons may be missing aria-label
SVG icons in the header and footer have aria-label attributes. Some older inline icons in body content may be missing these. We are auditing and correcting these as we go.
If you find a page or feature that is not accessible to you, please let us know. We take these reports seriously and will investigate each one.
