Repair the join before you brief the board

Abstract print on warm paper.

Work IQ's expansion into Dynamics 365 and Power Platform was scheduled to start preview on 30 September 2026 and run through October. Microsoft's example answers a renewal question by joining sales records, a service case, mail and a meeting. If those records do not match, the preview teaches people to trust a fluent mistake. Fix the join before you teach the briefing.

The habit is the source check

A useful pilot, for a company new to this, is renewal readiness with a person who already owns the account. They compare the agent's suggestion with the CRM, the service case, and their own judgement. They do not send the suggestion on.

Teach the stop

When the sources disagree, the trained behaviour is to stop and name the disagreeing systems. That is a harder habit than prompting, and it is the one that survives after the preview ends. Managers can ask for it in a normal meeting: which record did you trust, and why.

The fiction exists to show the stop

FrontierOrg, a fictional method and not a case study, builds a journey where the customer in one system fails to match the partner in another. The assistant must stop. Nothing in that story is a result you can quote. The stop is the part worth rehearsing with your own data steward.

Monday

Pick one account where two systems disagree. Show that disagreement to the people who would use a Work IQ preview. Do not book the preview session until they have seen it.

Who, by name, is allowed to say the records are too messy for a pilot?

Where this note mentions FrontierOrg, that is a fictional method for rehearsing a decision. It is not a company, not a client, and not a case study.
