This week's practice is the small release note
Microsoft's 23 September 2026 release notes for Microsoft 365 Copilot record smaller changes: links from Excel Copilot responses to the workbook change, clickable email-attachment results, sorting for Outlook mail results, and profile cards for buildings, rooms and desks. They are not Home, and they are not a Frontier rollout. They are the practice a new user can do in the apps they already have.
Why small is the right size
A person who has never trusted Copilot will not learn trust from Autopilot. They might learn it by following a link from an Excel answer to the cell that changed, and deciding whether the change is right. That is a closed loop. It fits in a team meeting.
Do not brief it as the redesign
If the staff note bundles these fixes with Home, Code and Autopilot, people will wait for a new app instead of trying the link. Separate the sentences. One sentence for what is in the current apps. Another, later, for what is staged. Enablement fails when everything is announced as equally available.
Keep a fictional diary honest
FrontierOrg, fiction, allows a day whose only update is 'not measured'. A week spent on the 23 September notes, with no claim of hours saved, is a respectable week. Write down what people clicked and what they rejected.
Monday
In Excel or Outlook, use one of those 23 September behaviours on a file you already own. Tell one colleague what you checked, not what you prompted.
Which small behaviour are you willing to make the only Copilot ask of your team this week?

Where this note mentions FrontierOrg, that is a fictional method for rehearsing a decision. It is not a company, not a client, and not a case study.
